Cloud KMS Autokey

2023 - 2024  •  Lead UX Designer

Despite being required for compliance regulations and other security needs, Customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) were known to be notoriously complex to use and resulted in exponential operational toil.

I led end-to-end UX strategy, product definition, and design of a new CMEK experience, now adopted by 13+ Google Cloud products, protecting 32,000+ (and counting) customer resources, leading to reducing years of customer toil, and increasing CMEK adoption by 140+%.

I delivered an interactive HTML prototype using AI assistance.

I designed and delivered a beta pattern induction tool that enables non-technical users to train AI systems to extract rule-based patterns from data. The cohesive, end-to-end experience helped companies reduce up to 75% of the time spent reviewing data sources and helped democratize access to AI capabilities.

Cash Flow Insight

2017 - 2019 •  sole UX Designer

Despite high conceptual value and user need for small business owners, the Cash Flow Insight application suffered from poor usability and low engagement.

Following a broader portal overhaul, I led the end-to-end redesign of this legacy product into a responsive, user-centric experience with a modern design system. While users struggled to navigate the legacy app, 100% of research participants successfully completed key tasks within the redesign.
